 Homework Policy
Students will be assigned homework on Mondays. They will receive their packets in a homework folder. Each day, students should complete 1-2 pages of the packet, spending 20 minutes daily until the packet is completed. The packet is due on Friday. Students are expected to bring back their homework folder and place it in a designated box in the classroom. We are helping students develop responsibility, so we have them turn in their work independently!
***If a student does not turn in homework, it may result in missing free play or extra-curricular activity.

A weekly reading log is part of the homework. Please read to your child, have them read the words they recognize, or have them point to the pictures and discuss what is happening in the story. Online books are available in your child's Raz Kids account. Please turn in the reading logs with the homework folders on Fridays.

Reminders:
1. Students must write with PENCIL and color all pages with CRAYONS, on their own.
2. Make sure your child has printed his/her First and Last Name.
3. Use the Sight Words list on the folder to practice daily.
4. The homework packet is meant to be completed by 2 pages each day, during the whole week. Please allow your child to take their time to complete the work neatly and correctly.
5. If you do not understand the directions, please circle the question, send a note, and encourage your child to ask me for help.
6. You may also email me with any homework question, if necessary. [email protected]
