Principal: Denise Williams
Hello Dewey Dolphins!
My name is Denise Williams and I am honored to be the principal at Dewey Elementary School. For the past twenty-three years I have dedicated myself to serving the Garvey School District in different capacities. I have worked as a teacher, home instruction teacher, EL Interventionist, and assistant principal. In my new role I look forward to making an impact in the Dewey community.
I will strive to provide a safe environment conducive to learning both when students and staff are physically present and virtually through distance learning. One of my goals, as your new principal, is to lead Dewey Elementary in achieving high standards of academic achievement that fosters a cooperative and positive attitude on the part of students, staff, and parents. The Dewey staff and I are committed to providing the four C’s of 21st Century learning- critical thinking, collaboration, communication, and creativity.
I value education dearly which has shaped my vision that “all students can be successful”. I am looking forward to a successful school year and meeting all of you soon.
Mrs. Denise Williams
